Bachata is a style of dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. It is danced widely all over the world but not identically and has styles of its own, including sensual and fusion. It is a playful Latin dance that is danced with soft hip motions, turns and side-to-side footwork. The music of Bachata is very recognizable for its predominant use of the electric guitar combined with Caribbean and Latin musical influences.

No partner is required for this class, partners will rotate unless not preferred by coupled dancers, and complete beginners are always welcome to beginner classes. Intermediate dancers will need to show their knowledge with an instructor for entry into intermediate classes.

See policies on why Bachata classes may be canceled by the studio.
